Bruiser Graduate Showcase

The Bruiser Graduate Academy was designed in response to the critical need in Northern Ireland for high quality, professional development in the arts for young people. The Academy provides practical training in specialist performance areas such as physical theatre, devising and musical theatre. Yet, uniquely, it also provides a vital insight into the industry, by delivering supporting workshops and seminars led by arts professionals. These range from Casting and Audition Technique to how to complete the dreaded tax return!

The third strand of this intensive course is networking and performance. During the Academy, students make connections with potential employees in the industry and a platform is provided for our eager cast to showcase their talents to an audience of arts professionals. By networking, increasing performance skills and industry knowledge, plus instilling a professional work ethic, we hope to heighten our graduates’ employability potential. These twelve days have been gruelling and thoroughly exhausting for our cast – but I must commend each student’s dedication, commitment, and attitude. They have been pushed and have risen to every challenge.
